Memory

M2 Pro and M2 Max include superfast unified memory, which is more efficient than traditional RAM. The single pool of high-performance memory allows apps to quickly share data between the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. This means you can do more with unified memory than you could with the same amount of traditional RAM.

MacBook Pro with M2 Pro comes with your choice of 16GB or 32GB of memory. If you select M2 Max, you can choose 32GB, 64GB, or a staggering 96GB — unlocking entirely new workflows for pro users. The more unified memory you choose, the more apps you can run simultaneously with a higher rate of performance.

Note: Unified memory is not user accessible. If you think you’ll need additional memory, consider upgrading at the time of purchase.
